Ride & Roost Ranch, located on a private residence in Lindström, MN, is owned by Shannon & Andy Timmer.  In addition to horses, the ranch is home to a diverse community of animals including cats, turkeys, and chickens.

Shannon has been immersed in the world of horses since 1989, learning from both the animals themselves and respected equine professionals.  Her work emphasizes authentic connection and sustainable horsemanship.  Andy joined the equestrian world in 2010 after meeting Shannon, quickly embracing the lifestyle and passion for horses.  Andy occasionally volunteers his time helping Shannon with her programs.

Together, Shannon and Andy bring a wealth of experience as licensed educators, with over 40 years combined in K-12 education.  The majority of their careers have been spent in St. Paul Public Schools - Shannon as a middle school science teacher and Andy as a high school special education teacher.
